Hi Niall,
Working in the south of France is a great project, sea,..,and sun !!! but one of the most important thing is that you have to speak french.
French poeple generally don'nt speak english very fluently!
If you choose to work as "assistant collaborateur" you just have to pay 50 or 60 % of all you earn to your "boss" and the boss will pay all you need to work or just a part of it (you have to discuss of it)
After that, you have to pay some other funy and personal taxes named "Urssaf, Taxe professionnelle, Caisse de retraite obligatoire, Caisse de maladie obligatoire".
But when you earn more than 25000 Euros /years Your boss had to pay a tax called "TVA", It isn't very funny, It's -19% of all you gave to your boss, first he had to pay blocs, composites... maybe lab ...everythings you need to work and now this TVA....
Can you explain us how you work with cerec in Ireland ? maybe in french
Regards
Jacques
